Property: Carter Jonas Oxford has seen an unprecedented jump in viewings this autumn. By mid-September the firm had shown more than 200 people around properties - a 20-fold increase over last year. "I can't believe thisis happening," says Oxford head Mark Charter. "We have some very popular properties on our books but this level of activity is incredible, even taking that into account. It's as if someone has flicked a switch and suddenly people are shopping for houses again."

Education: Enterprising secondary school students are invited to enter companies for this year’s Young Enterprise Oxfordshire. Over 30 schools in Oxfordshire are already participating, more than last year, and a huge variety of ideas is anticipated. Last year's winners, Eclectic, went on to reach 12th in the national finals with their book and learning resource, Frideswide the Owl.
